RightPlus (衞家口罩) is a Hong Kong-based mask factory who was founded during COVID-19 outbreak. There was a huge demand in facial masks in the market for personal protection purposes.RightPlus was one of the appointed companies by the government in setting up local masks production line for general public and medical consumption.
Facing the huge demand in facial masks, RightPlus was in need of a stable, scalable and reliable online eCommerce website. Ordinary ecommerce tools might not be able to take up the huge traffic by the users. The platform was configure in a way that can auto-scale up when there are huge traffic, and auto-scale down when traffic are lower. Users are also able to “queue up” online to get into the online store, instead of needing to keep refreshing the page.
The launch was a huge success and tens of millions of masks were sold within a short period. Consumers were able to place orders quickly and receive the necessary masks at the time. The platform also supported the other product launch like Chinese New Year style facial masks launch.
